I recently traveled to New Mexico with Charley. He was part of a group show at Giacobbe-Fritz Fine Art in Santa Fe, so I went do for the opening. I’d never been to Santa Fe before so I was excited to experience the food, architecture, art and desert…and it did not disappoint. Well we were there we ate several delicious meals (including sushi with a New Mexico flare -- complete with chillies), drank Aztec sipping chocolate, visited an Indian casino, explored old Route 66 and, of course, looked at lots of art.

Beans Gets a New Sweater

Little Beans has been working hard at potty training, but has found it difficult because of the cold weather we've been having. She starts shivering as soon as we take her outside and tries to run back inside before the desired task is completed. So, we thought we should buy her as sweater. After a lot of searching and debuting Charley and I found a sweater that we both like and was small enough for her. But the results were not what we expected.

About one minute after this picture was taken, Beans disappeared into the living room and return without the sweater on. I tried to put it on her several more time that evening but each time she was able to get out of it...Oh well, it was cute well it lasted.

Introducing the Lovely Miss Beans...

Yesterday was a big day -- Charley got a new puppy! She is a 8 week old Boston Terrier and her name is Beans.


She is just the sweetest little puppy in the whole world. She's already well on her way to being potty trained...she's had no inside poops! It amazing! And she slept through the whole night (7 hours) with no whining and no accidents!

Beans has beautiful markings. She, as a Boston Terrier should, looks like she is wearing tuxedo…or footie pajamas. She is mostly black and white, but appears to have some brindle on her too…it may get more pronounced as she gets older, or it may go away. Time will tell.

My Bestfriend is 40!
